The Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) is an independent administrative tribunal dedicated to preserving agricultural land and encouraging farming in British Columbia.
Nov. 7, 2017 - The Full Commission has adopted two new policies related to the placement of fill for soil bound agriculture (L-23) and criteria for agricultural capability assessments (P-10). Policy L-10 related to retaining an existing residence while building a new residence has been amended.
Aug. 3, 2017 - The ALC has completed its current boundary review projects in Electoral Areas B and E in the Regional District of East Kootenay.
Jul. 10, 2017 - The 2016-2017 ALC Annual Report is available online and contains information on ALR land area and decision statistics as well as Compliance & Enforcement and Policy & Planning activity.
