Agricultural Land Commission Act

Policy #22
January 2006

Parking and Servicing of Trucks and Equipment in the ALR

This policy provides advice to assist in the interpretation of the Agricultural Land Commission Act, 2002 and Regulation. In case of ambiguity or inconsistency, the Act and Regulation will govern.

It is the policy of the Commission that no application is required for the parking or servicing of trucks and equipment on ALR lands provided:

  • The owner or occupier of the land is the owner/operator of the trucks. Trucks or vehicles not owned by the owner or occupier of the land cannot be stored, parked or serviced on the property;
  • Onsite parking and servicing of trucks and equipment is conducted by immediate family members only.

In instances where these conditions cannot be met, an application under section 20(3) of the Agricultural Land Commission Act is required.
