How Do I View Commission Records

It is a policy of the Agricultural Land Commission that its records are available for public viewing. However, portions of files may be restricted under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

  • Files must be viewed in the office of the Commission and may not be removed from the office.

  • If you wish to view a file, you should make an appointment and allow sufficient time for retrieval of the information without disruption to normal office procedures.

  • In order to retrieve a file for viewing, it is helpful if you have an application or file number, the applicant's name, or a legal description of the property.

  • The content of records may be photocopied. Copying fees will be charged. A limited number of pages may be copied at the time of viewing, but if substantial copying is required, your request may take a few days to process.

If you wish to make a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, see How Do I Make A Request.
