ALC Completes Seminars with Local Governments
During January and February, the Commission hosted five seminars throughout the province. A total of 247 participants attended the seminars held in Burnaby, Nanaimo, Nelson, Prince George and Vernon.
The purpose of the seminars was to make local government staff and other government agencies aware of the various legislative and administrative changes that have and are occurring within the Commission as a result of the government's new era directions.
The seminars provided PowerPoint presentations and featured the ALC website as a tool for obtaining information on the ALR program. The presentations can be viewed (below) as a reference for those who could not attend the sessions and for other interested parties.
Throughout the seminars, many questions were asked. We are in the process of compiling the questions and providing responses. This information will be posted on the website shortly.
