Lorne Seitz, Vice-Chair

Lorne Seitz is the past chair and chief executive officer of BC Assets and Land Corporation and past deputy minister of agriculture, fisheries and food. He is currently a director of the BC Safety Authority. Mr. Seitz is past president and chief executive officer of the BC Trade Development Corporation and director of the Okanagan Valley Tree Fruit Authority. He lives in Courtenay.

Niels Holbek

Niels Holbek has an extensive background in BC agriculture having owned and managed numerous farm operations including many years as the Director of the University of British Columbia (UBC) Research Farm at Oyster River. Currently, he and his wife have a private woodlot and pure bred beef operation in Black Creek. He has been active in the farm industry organization over the years including a term as a Director of the BC Agriculture Council. He served on the Agricultural Advisory Committee of the Regional District of Comox Strathcona for many years and is a former Chair. Mr. Holbek holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Mechanics and Waste Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Soil Science (Honours), Soil and Water Conservation from the University of British Columbia.

Jennifer Dyson

Jennifer Dyson along with her husband operate a diversified farm in the Alberni Valley - a farm direct business growing berries, vegetables, flowers and cattle. Their vision is to promote local food production and local food products. Jennifer has been involved in farm organizations nationally, provincially and locally and continues to represent horticulture on agriculture environment initiatives and Environmental Farm Planning. Jennifer is a past member of the Agriculture Advisory Committee for the Alberni Clayoquot Regional District.
