The Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) is an independent administrative tribunal dedicated to preserving agricultural land and encouraging farming in British Columbia.
The online Application Portal replaces the old paper forms and is the new way to make ALR land use applications. Applications are now submitted electronically and are automatically directed to the appropriate local government or ALC.
On March 3, 2016, the Minister of Agriculture provided the ALC with expectations regarding the timelines associated with processing applications.
By way of Order in Council 159/2016, new fees are effective as of April 1, 2016.
