The Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) is an independent administrative tribunal dedicated to preserving agricultural land and encouraging farming in British Columbia.
July 15, 2015 - The ALC announces the launch of its new online ALC application system called the Application Portal. The Application Portal provides a streamlined web-based application process for applicants, local government and the public. The general public will also have greater awareness of the application work of the ALC.
Amendments to the Agricultural Land Commission Act were passed on May 29, 2014. The amendments to the ALC Act came into force by regulation on September 5, 2014.
October 8, 2014 - Agriculture Minister Norm Letnick announced that 12 commissioners and six vice chairs have been appointed to the Agricultural Land Commission’s (ALC) six regional panels.
