The Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) is an independent administrative tribunal dedicated to preserving agricultural land and encouraging farming in British Columbia.
The Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) will be launching a new online application system (the “Application Portal”) in the Fall of 2014. The Application Portal will provide a streamlined and transparent web-based application process for applicants, local governments, and the public.
Amendments to the Agricultural Land Commission Act were passed on May 29, 2014. The amendments to the ALC Act came into force by regulation on September 5, 2014.
October 8, 2014 - Agriculture Minister Norm Letnick announced that 12 commissioners and six vice chairs have been appointed to the Agricultural Land Commission’s (ALC) six regional panels.
